Gary Scott is an author, adventurer & entrepreneur.

Gary has spent over 40 years of his life climbing and exploring much of the world, and was a pioneer of extreme rock climbing in his native Australia.

He has co-led two successful Mount Everest Expeditions, and personally guided over 50 international trips and expeditions including over 30 trips to the Himalayas.

He is the current world-record holder for the fastest unsupported ascent of Alaska’s Mt. McKinley, climbing it alone in a super human 18 ˝ hours – a mountain that usually takes people 18 days to climb!

He is also an author of a book called Summit Strategies - Secrets to Mastering the Everest in your life and is a professional motivational speaker.

He has owned and operated his own adventure travel company with offices in Nepal, London and the U.S., and worked with the U.S. National Triathlon Team and the U.S. Olympic Committee.

He is currently is the President of Backwoods – a company with eight outdoor clothing and equipment in the Midwest with one of the stores here is Bradley Fair. He is also the founder and President of Backwoods Adventures – an adventure travel company.
