SHOW DETAILS

Topic: Intimacy in Relationships

This week we will be discussing issues relating to intimacy and interpersonal connections.

Guest: Michelle Corr

Michelle Corr was raised in Alaska until the age of seventeen when she ventured off to college. Michelle exhibited a natural aptitude for creative expression at an early age. Fueled by this talent, she traded Alaska¹s frozen tundra for the beaches of Los Angeles, when she was accepted at The American College for the Applied Arts for a degree in Graphic Design.

In 1990 Michelle transferred to Arizona State University she entered the prestigious Walter Cronkite School of Broadcast Journalism and in 1994 graduated with a B.S. degree in television and film production. Beginning her professional career while still attending school, she stage-managed Sunday Night Football's "Stadium Show" for TNT Sports, assisted crew and on-air talent for PAC 10 Football and the Los Angeles Lakers with Fox Sports West, and was an ENG producer for ESPN.

Michelle continued with ESPN after graduating in 1994, and in late 1995 accepted the position of Assistant Production Manager on NBC’s "Unsolved Mysteries", where she reported directly to Robert Stack and Bob Ramiro. Looking to add marketing experience to her technical knowledge of production, Michelle took a job with the Phoenix Coyotes in Sales and Marketing at the end of the NHL season.

In January 2000 everything came together for Michelle. She accepted the position of Executive Producer for North American Broadcasting Company, a nationally syndicated radio network. After breaking all company sales records, in 2001 she won the Top Producer Award. Michelle began hosting her own weekly syndicated talk show, The Naked Truth, for the network in July of 2000.

After leaving the network in July of 2002 she founded her own company, TALKSTARS™. As a media coach, she produces both local and national radio talk shows, and assists others in developing their own radio programs. Her latest venture began February 17, 2003 when she and co-host Greg Hall launched their new program 180º Radio, a daily magazine, on KXAM 1310 AM.
